My kids both learn the violin through the Suzuki method at the Lauderdale Suzuki Group. This method requires the parent to be fully engaged with the learning process.  So I thought I would get a violin and learn too. (I also built their website in Silverstripe).

Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.

I am also learning the piano.  It is incredibly stimulating and rewarding.  Nothing like putting yourself outside of the comfort zone.

Practice only as many times as you have breakfast.
